When ordering a knife from me I will need some basic information to make everything run smooth.
Knife details
- what model are you interested in?
- what kind of materials would you like?
- special requests you might have.
When I receive this information I will give you a price quote on that specific knife and an estimated delivery time. Delivery time is at present time 16 - 18 months (starting when the order is finalized). I do my best to keep a quoted delivery time but it is very hard for me to be more exact as there are simply too many variables in life. I will keep you informed during the process of making your knife though so you will know of the progress or any delays there might occur.
After we get the first details sorted out I will need some personal information.
Personal information:
- Full name and shipping address.
- Phone number (so I can reach you if your email is not working)
- alternate email (if any)
- forum name (optional)
All information is of course kept confidential!
So now you have ordered the knife, what's next? Well it may take months or days before I start on your knife. I usually grind a bunch of blades at a time both to save on heat treat cost as the price is the same either I send 10 or 50 blades and to be able to focus purely on grinding. When I get the blades back from heat treat I will finish the knives one at a time in the order they appear in my order book.
Payment is due when the knife is ready to ship. Normally I do not need a deposit on orders. On some special orders where the materials needed is very expensive I sometimes ask for a down payment somewhere along the way to help keep things in balance.
I accept payment via:
- Paypal
- Personal or cashiers check
- Money order
- Western Union Wire Transfer.
